MS Excel and LaTeX – Tables

It is quite easy to get data table out of Excel with aid of a macro, Excel2LaTeX.

Mask the desired area in the spreadsheet, run the macro and save it to a .tex file. Use LaTeX’s input command to reference your table in your LaTeX document:

\begin{table}
  \centering
  \caption{A MS Excel table exported with the macro Excel2LaTeX}
  \label{tab:my-excel-table}
  \input{tables/my-exported-excel-table}
\end{table}

This great macro can be downloaded from your local CTAN server, e.g. http://theory.uwinnipeg.ca/scripts/CTAN/support/excel2latex.zip
